Blood Pressure monitoring
Bandless was founded by three university graduates, one of whom faced the challenges of living with high blood pressure firsthand. Motivated by this personal experience, they set out to revolutionize how blood pressure is monitored. Their vision? A non-intrusive, band-free device that provides continuous readings, seamlessly integrating into daily life.
The idea for "Everything you do, do it with Bandless" was born from their vision to create a device that effortlessly fits into your life, empowering you to live every moment with confidence and care. The goal was clear— to position themselves as a lifestyle product rather than a medical device.
Creating their logo and tagline
The founders were clear about their desire for a heart as the central symbol—representing care, vitality, and their mission to make health monitoring both accessible and stylish. However, this presented a unique challenge: the heart is a universally recognized icon, especially in the realm of health and blood pressure devices. The challenge was to reimagine the heart in a way that felt unique and aligned with Bandless’ vision of blending innovation with lifestyle.
The idea for the tagline was rooted in a clever wordplay on the word count. I wanted to highlight that Bandless is constantly counting your blood pressure, no matter what, and hence you could count on it. The tagline was also crafted to inspire confidence and pose a question: Will you count on us?
Key words and Inspiration
One of the founders often made a Korean heart symbol with his fingers at the end of Zoom meetings, which inspired the design of the Bandless logo. The logo features a heart supported from beneath, symbolizing reliability—like a friend who’s there to hold you up and assure you that you can count on them.
The outward strokes under the heart give a feeling of growth, making the composition look like a budding plant.
The rounded edges convey softness and care, while the green stroke adds a distinctive touch, making the logo memorable and unique.
The Visual Identity
Bandless features two main campaigns:
"I (verb) Bandless" emphasizes the versatility of the product, showing how it fits into any activity. Ads depict people running—I run Bandless—or playing—I play Bandless—demonstrating that with Bandless, you can do it all.
"Bandless is More" highlights the product’s small size while showcasing its big impact. Despite its compact design, it offers powerful functionality—Bandless is more.
